This morning, inspired by "Master Chef Jr." my kids wanted to do their own version of "master chef." They looked through a few recipe books and choose a recipe together. They choose to make a creme brulee french toast from The Kosher Palette cookbook. They choose a recipe and executed it, but it needed to soak for a few hours so we put it in the refrigerator to be cooked and eaten later. They watched a little TV and then cleaned up their mess.
Then my husband took them to the park for two hours, where they ate a bit and played a lot.
When they got home we were able to bake their french toast and they were pretty happy with the results:

After eating, we tackled their assignments for school, which were all on the computer. They each supplemented their school-assigned learning with some other form of learning online.
After begrudgingly doing a minimal amount of online school work, my ten year old went onto Khan Academy, https://www.khanacademy.org/ which is a great free online resource which he really likes and he learned some math. Then, he went onto education.com to play some games. This website is fantastic and has great learning games. A lot of them are free, but we happen to have a premium membership to this site.
My eight year old happily did her assigned work and then played some math games, and my almost five year struggled through some letter sounds in Hebrew and in English, hid his English book from me, and is now getting alternatively frustrated and excited trying to play some math games as a sit beside him and periodically help him. He gets very excited when they tell him "You are a Master!"

Thanks for reading. I hope tomorrow we will integrate some more fun activities into our routine.
